A five year relationship especially with a child involved is a deep kind of heartbreak, and it’s okay to feel shattered right now. Please know that you’re not alone in this. You might feel like you’re breaking, but the fact that you’re still showing up for your son says so much about your strength. It doesn’t have to make sense right now. Just focus on the little things: one breath at a time, one moment at a time. Your son doesn’t need a perfect version of you just a loving, present one. And as you love him, don’t forget to love yourself too. This season is hard, but it’s not forever. You won’t always feel this broken. You’re in the middle of your story, not the end. And healing doesn’t mean forgetting him it means remembering yourself.
I’m so sorry. It’s so tough dealing with this. You’re a good mom and you have to take care of yourself so you could take care of your son. Small steps, do everything you like. Go out with your son, strengthen your bond, do activities together. Your son doesn’t need somebody who leaves. Not an option. Better things will come in life. More power to you!
