I’ve really struggled with asserting myself and not just agreeing with my ex to keep the peace. I knew it wasn’t the right thing to do but I did it cause I didn’t want her to leave me. This video has brought me so much clarity on the effect of this in my life. It has made me realize that If I want real intimacy, I have to be honest with myself and my partner and if they don’t like that, it’s better to find someone who will love the real me than a false persona.
