Still need to see him every week

I’m in the same boat with my ex I see her 2 times a week once to pick up our son and once to drop him off. She said to me today she sees me as a friend lol. Best advice I got is keep it short and don’t express our emotions to them I keep expressing mine to her telling her I’m gonna wait for her or I still love her and it never goes the way I want it to go I avoid eye contact as well helps me not get as emotional in the moment
